Road: Pitlochry's about 1.5-2 hours drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We ask that anyone who's willing to drive and give people lifts let us know; similarly if you're wanting a lift from either city. If there's enough demand, we'll think about arranging a minivan.

If you want to hire a taxi late at night, book ahead of time! We hear (thanks, Susan from the Youth Hostel) that local taxi drivers often also work as bus drivers in less busy seasons, and so might be less available.

Rail: Pitlochry's on the main line from London Kings Cross (via York and Edinburgh). It's about 6.5 hours from London, or 1.5-2 hours by train from either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Air: The closest airport is Dundee (~45 mins drive), which does get some flights from London but is quite small. Edinburgh and Inverness Airports are roughly equidistant.

Accommodation

Pitlochry is a small town with a lot of hotels and other places to stay. Most places are in easy walking distance of the town centre and our venues.

There's a very popular light show, called the Enchanted Forest, held throughout October in the nearby Faskally Woods. Since the 2026 event is running until the 8th November, the town might be busier than we expected. We recommend booking your accommodation ahead of time and avoiding the Fishers Hotel on the main street!

We've booked the Pitlochry Youth Hostel from Friday morning to Monday morning for our exclusive use. It sleeps a maximum of 49 people over 14 rooms, and has large living areas, a kitchen, laundry facilities, and parking for 12 cars (and a bike shed, in case this is relevant).

Let us know if you're interested in staying at the hostel with us for some or all of the weekend. We'll ask you to contribute £20 per night per person.
