Jay Aodh Mackenzie
and
Leo Anthony Joseph Kaminski
are getting married.

Jay and Leo looking concerned, mostly out of frame in front of a pretty nifty loch. Say hi! Jay and Leo looking happy, in full view in front of a nice loch.

Come and celebrate with us in Pitlochry!

We chose Pitlochry, a small town on the edge of the Cairngorms, because it's pretty, quiet, and has good transport links.
It also features a cunning fish ladder for salmon to get upstream past the dam.
We just think it's neat.

We're having multiple events!

...in the grand millennial tradition of really milking it!
Seriously, though, we want to spend as much time as possible with our loved ones. We thought spreading things out over a weekend seemed like a good way to keep it relaxed.
If you can't make the whole thing, that's absolutely fine; we'll be delighted to see you for however long you can join us!

We even have a (rough) plan of the weekend!

The schedule will be updated in due course with more detail, but for now the order of events is as follows.

Friday 6th November
PM: Opt-in dinner. Venue TBD when we have numbers.
Saturday 7th November
AM: Free space!
PM: Civil wedding, buffet, and dancing in Pitlochry Town Hall.
Sunday 8th November
AM: Free space! Recover from hangovers, go for walks, look at the salmon.
PM: Religious ceremony, and more food in Pitlochry Town Hall.

We've also booked out Pitlochry Youth Hostel from Friday to Monday; we're going to be staying there and using it as a base of operations. A maximum of 47 of you are welcome to stay with us: see accommodation for more info.

Now what?

Let us know if you are interested in either of the following:

  1. Dinner on Friday night: This will probably be at The Bridge Restaurant, in which case we'll be ordering off the normal dinner menu. At this stage, we just need a rough idea of how many people want to come. After RSVPs, we'll ask you all to preorder and transfer us the cost of your meal in advance so that we can book and pay as a group.
  2. Staying at the hostel: See accommodation for details. We'll deal with room-divvying by email once we know who wants to stay.

If neither of the above appeal, congratulations: you don't have to do anything right now! Invitations and a detailed RSVP will follow in the spring.
